I really liked the first two books in this series, so I expected to like this one as well. I wasn't disappointed at all. Jake was full of blame for himself over events he had no control of. He was drowning himself in a run down bar, and no-one was doing anything about it. When Verity seeks him out, he is surly and unfriendly. Verity is normally fairly inhibited, but her beloved brother is in trouble, and she will stop at nothing to save him. She pushes Jake to help her, but he refuses until his boss overrules his objections and assigns him the case. It doesn't take long for the couple to realize the case is much larger than they think, and Verity's brother is involved in more than she could have imagined. Both Verity and Jake make a lot of changes throughout the book and form deep connections. I loved them together. I also loved getting a little more Charlie and Bowie. I can't wait for them to get their own story!Product details

Adrienne Bell is a real San Francisco treat of a writer. The Sinner Saints is an alpha driven series that is just amazing. Jake's book is full of intrigue and sharp writer. I just love Jake!
I really enjoy a romantic suspense with a lot of humor. This delivers, as does the whole series. Sort of a predictable plot, but well written. A quick enjoyable read. I would advise starting with the first book in this series, but this can be read as a stand alone. No cliff hangers.
This was the fourth book that I read in this series .I enjoyed the characters and their interactions with each other. This story showed a timid lady discovering strength when she was pushed in a corner. A good action story .Ms Bell please please hurry and give us Charlie's story.
Have loved Carter and Rhys (other books from the series).
I didn't think this one was quite as good but it's still worth buying and better than 9/10's of the other romances out there.
Writing is good and the characters still have good chemistry.
Not boring and you'll be rushing to the end on this one too.
Great addition to the series. One bruiting Alpha male wanting to hide in a bar and one feisty woman out of her element. Everything is against them but this author was able to bring light when it was dark and make you cheer on the characters because you grew to like them.
Quick, fun, adventurous beach read.
Every book gets better and better. Verity and Jake wow. I love how Charlie has her hand in everything. I really enjoyed seeing Verity grow and change as the book went on. I loved how it brought Jake back to his friends and home.
I'm telling you the only thing that would of made it better is an epilogue because none of the relationships are mentioned in the other books other than to state what the relationship is.
I have really enjoyed the Sinner Saints. This series is well written, fast paced with lots of action and suspense and a nice romance to go along. Although I enjoyed the previous two installments a little more I still really enjoyed Jake's story. I like Adrienne's writing style and her characters. Verity took a little while to grow on me but I ended up really liking her and she was a good character to help pull Jake out of his guilt. He needed someone who needed him to save her. I enjoy the interaction with the other characters from the series and can't wait to read Bowen's story.
